How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home (No Ring Sizer)
To measure your ring size at home, wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure that length in millimetres — that is your finger's circumference. Match the mm to a ring-size chart to get your size. Measure at the end of the day for the truest fit.
The paper-strip method
You do not need a ring sizer. A thin strip of paper or string, a pen and a ruler are enough to find your size accurately at home.
- 1Cut a thin strip
Cut a strip of paper about 5–6 cm long and under 1 cm wide (or use a piece of string).
- 2Wrap it snugly
Wrap it around the base of the finger you want the ring for — snug but not tight, and able to slide over the knuckle.
- 3Mark the overlap
Mark the exact point where the strip meets and overlaps itself.
- 4Measure in mm
Lay the strip flat and measure the length up to the mark in millimetres — that is your finger's circumference.
- 5Match the chart
Find that mm value on the ring-size chart below to get your size.

Tips for an accurate ring size
Measure at the end of the day when fingers are slightly larger, avoid measuring when your hands are cold, and size for the knuckle if it is wider than the base. For a wide band, go up a size. If you are between sizes, choose the larger one or pick an adjustable style.
