How to choose a silver chain or pendant
What chain length should you choose?
For women, 16 inches sits close at the base of the neck, 18 inches falls just below the collarbone and is the length most people wear, and 20 inches sits a little lower and leaves room for a larger pendant. Our snake chain comes in 16, 18 and 20 inches, and our pendants ship on 18 or 20-inch chains.
Pendants with chain
Our Om and Ganesh pendants come on a 20-inch chain in rhodium or oxidised finish, and the evil-eye pendant on an 18-inch chain. We sell them as jewellery and as gifts, and make no spiritual or protective claims for them.
The name pendant is made to order on an 18-inch chain, in rhodium or 18k gold plating, and takes 4–7 days before it ships.
Necklace and earring sets
A set saves you matching two purchases. The lotus set is a 14 mm openwork pendant on an 18-inch cable chain with 8 mm studs. The CZ set is a 6 mm pendant with 4 mm studs. The oxidised set is a Jaipur handwork medallion with a ghungroo fringe and matching jhumka. Each set comes in one box, and the stud sets have 925 silver posts with no nickel core.
Is it real silver?
Every chain and pendant here is 925 sterling silver: 92.5% pure silver with a little copper for strength. Stones are CZ, a lab-created stone, and are labelled that way. Chains and pendants run from ₹2,198 for the evil-eye pendant with chain to ₹6,598 for the oxidised necklace and jhumka set.
Caring for a silver chain
Put a chain on after perfume and hairspray, take it off to sleep so it does not kink, and hang it or lay it flat rather than bunching it in a pouch. Fine chains tangle; fasten the clasp before you store them.
