Every applicable piece is genuine 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure — and is BIS hallmarked with a '925' purity mark. Note the honest detail most sellers skip: BIS hallmarking of silver is voluntary in India (IS 2112) and does not carry a HUID — the HUID applies to gold. Every piece also ships with our certificate of authenticity stating purity and weight.

We sell only solid 925 sterling silver, never silver-plated brass, steel or 'German silver'. The 925 hallmark and our certificate confirm purity, and every product page states the exact silver weight so you know precisely what you are paying for.

Most anokhi pieces carry an anti-tarnish rhodium finish that resists blackening for years. Tarnish, when it appears, is a harmless surface reaction that wipes off — and it only happens to real silver. Store dry in the pouch and wipe with the included cloth to keep it bright.
