This pair is certified 925 sterling silver — five rows of small closed ghungroo on a broad flat chain, oxidised so the detail reads — and it is deliberately lighter than heavy traditional pieces, so it stays comfortable through a full wedding day.

How to wear

Is this heavy enough to count as bridal payal?

It is a modern bridal payal. Traditional dulhan payal are much heavier and cost far more in silver alone; ours is visibly substantial, chimes properly and is comfortable for a full day on your feet. If you want a very heavy heirloom pair, we would rather tell you we do not make it than call a lighter pair heavy.
