The Detail

About this piece

An infinity mangalsutra is a modern mangalsutra that replaces the traditional vati with an infinity (∞) loop — a quieter, everyday reading of the same idea. This one is built on solid 925 sterling silver with 18k gold plating, a hand-set CZ infinity loop and a double-line black-bead chain, weighing roughly 7 g with the exact weight printed on your invoice. BIS hallmarked for 925 purity, anti-tarnish finished, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity.

How to wear

At full 20 in it sits just below the collarbone over a kurta or saree blouse; clip the extender in for a shorter, closer fall under a shirt collar. Take it off before a shower, swim or spraying perfume — gold plating and black beads both last longer kept dry. Wipe with the dry cloth in the box; never use liquid silver dip on a gold-plated piece.

Silver care

Wipe with the cloth in your box after wear, and store the piece dry in its pouch — trapped moisture is what darkens silver fastest. Put jewellery on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off before a bath, the pool or the gym. Tarnish, when it appears, is a harmless surface reaction that wipes off — and it only happens to real silver. Avoid toothpaste and baking soda on rhodium, gold-plated or oxidised finishes. Questions

Frequently asked

What does the infinity motif stand for on a mangalsutra?

It is a modern stand-in for the traditional vati — the ∞ loop simply reads as continuity, with no religious or astrological claim attached. The black beads and the two-line chain keep the piece instantly recognisable as a mangalsutra.

Is a silver mangalsutra hallmarked?

Yes, this one is — BIS hallmarked for 925 purity under IS 2112. BIS hallmarking of silver is voluntary in India, so we choose to do it, and every order ships with a certificate of authenticity and the exact gram weight.

Is this real 925 sterling silver?

Yes. Every anokhi piece is solid 925 sterling silver (92.5% pure), BIS hallmarked for 925 purity where applicable, and ships with a certificate of authenticity — never silver-plated or German silver.

Will it tarnish, and how do I care for it?

Pieces carry an anti-tarnish finish. Wipe with the included cloth, avoid perfume/water contact, and store dry in the pouch between wears to keep them bright for years.

What are the shipping, COD and return terms?

Free shipping above ₹999, cash on delivery pan-India, and 7-day easy returns on unused, hallmarked items in original packaging. Authenticity issues are refunded in full.
