Slide each bichiya onto the second toe from the side and press gently to close — do not open and shut them repeatedly, as sterling work-hardens and eventually cracks. Wear the payal above them so the two chains do not sit on the toe ring. Take the toe rings off for sport and long walks in closed shoes.
